A new quarter of free events included in the reading promotion series entitled "Literary Agenda for a Reading Community" will start on Saturday, January 13. Scheduled, as always, are events for young and old, including meetings with authors, presentations of the latest book acquisitions, workshops for children, conversations on Italian literature and readings in music. Hosting the events will be not only the municipal libraries of Figline (Via Locchi, Ficino library) and Incisa (Piazza Parri, Rovai library) and the BiblioCoop reading point (Via Ungheria, Figline), but also the social center Il Giardino, Circolo Fanin and the Palazzo Pretorio.
In detail, the first scheduled meeting will be held at the Rovai Library in Incisa on Saturday 13 at 6 p.m. for the presentation of the volume "Odes. Fifteen Declines of a Feeling" edited by Gabriele Merlini. The next meetings with authors, however, will be held on Feb. 2 (with Marco Vichi), Feb. 17 (with Pippo Russo) and Feb. 24 (with Lorenzo Mercatanti).
New for the first billboard of 2018 is a treasure hunt in the library, curated by Enigma Live: the classic game known to all will be revisited, in a modern and digital key, by papering Figline's library spaces with clues in Qr code, which can then be read only by smartphone. The event is set for Sunday, Feb. 25, at 6 p.m. in Locchi Street.
As for children's meetings, however, elementary school can book library tours or reading, drawing and animation workshops by contacting the libraries directly at 055.9125445-446 (Incisa) and 055. 9125290-291 (Figline). Meetings will be held every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to noon.
It is recalled that the quarter of events is organized by the municipality, in collaboration with Pro loco Ficino, Zimmerclub association, Il Giardino social center, Fanin circle, Enigma live game, facts art association and BiblioCoop Figline.
