The "Literary Agenda" review, which the City Council, in collaboration with the BiblioCoop reading point, Circolo Fanin, the Garden and the Zimmerclub association, is organizing to promote reading in the area, is back on track. Many initiatives are scheduled until Thursday, December 15: from meetings with authors to presentations of the latest book acquisitions in the library, from the great classics of literature.
Special guest of this edition, Sunday 25 at 11:30 a.m. at the Garibaldi Redoubt, will be Federico Buffa, in Figline in late November on the occasion (Saturday, Nov. 24, 9 p.m.; Sunday, Nov. 25, 4:30 p.m.) of his show "A Night in Kinshasa. Muhammad Ali vs. George Foreman. Much more than a boxing match" .
The festival starts on Friday, Oct. 5, at the Rovai Library (Piazza Parri, Incisa) where, at 5 p.m., the Circuito corto association will present the "Nolite te bastardes carborundorum" series of meetings. Part of the Tenda Rossa project in Valdarno, it is a series of documentary screenings-focusing on the complexity of human beings-that will take place throughout the year and will always be preceded by a meeting in the library. On the occasion of this first event, Annalisa De Luca will present the book "Welcome to the Land of Women" by Francesca Rosati Freeman, who will be at the meeting.
THE BOOK - This volume is about the country "south of the clouds," where a people live who base their worldview on the matriarchal principle. All while maintaining an egalitarian and violence-free society led by women for millennia.
