Just as the drama season has its encounters with actors, the concert season from this year will also offer in-depth insights into the concerts in the Garibaldi Theater's playbill.
The first appointment with this sort of listening guide is scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 16, at 5 p.m., with admission open to all citizens in the Ridotto of Teatro Garibaldi(Piazza Serristori). Promoting the project is the Coro del Teatro Garibaldi association, whose director Alessandro Papini will speak on Form and Freedom in Beethoven's music, proposing listening to and viewing excerpts of the pieces on the program. The meeting will then serve as an introduction to the Figline and Incisa Valdarno Municipal Theater's season debut concert, scheduled for Friday, Dec. 22, at 9 p.m. On this occasion Maestro Daniele Rustioni will conduct the Orchestra della Toscana and Alessandro Taverna will be at the piano.
The in-depth talks will be held throughout the concert season, which, we recall, will continue on Jan. 26 with Michele Campanella (conductor and piano), Feb. 14 with Eiji Oue (conductor) and Nemanja Radulovic (violin), on March 24 with Ryan McAdams (conductor) and Ksenija Sidorova (accordion and bandoneon), on April 10 with Lorenza Borrani (conductor and violin), Anthony Romaniuk (harpsichord) and Chiara Morandi (violin), and will end on April 19 with George Pehlivanian (conductor) and Alessandro Carbonare (clarinet).
