Biography
Sara Romoli was born in Florence, Italy, on January 29, 1978, but grew up in Figline Valdarno.
At the age of 26, she decided to move to New York to build her life overseas. She did so with $500 in her pocket, without knowing English and without having any contacts in the Big Apple. On her way Sara met people who helped her overcome the enormous difficulties that a metropolis like
New York hides (the cost of living, security) and to seize the many opportunities that the city has always offered.
Sara has worked as a secretary, as a marketing person, as a photomodel, stylist and TV author. In 2006 her story was covered by La Repubblica, Verissimo, Maxim and other national TV and print media outlets for having self-produced and sold with great success one of her photo calendars, made to be able to pay for her studies in criminology, which has always been her great passion.
Today, almost twenty years later, Sara continues to live in New York with her husband Paul, works as a real estate agent, and has also recently purchased an apartment in Florence, right near the Ponte Vecchio. She has always remained connected to Figline Valdarno and her former friendships. After a serious illness, now overcome, Sara wrote her first book-an autobiography for therapeutic purposes, as she calls it-just to get through the most difficult phase of her life.
Tante vite per un sogno - L'inizio is the first chapter of a trilogy that will be completed in the coming months with the release of the other two chapters (Il sogno and La fine che è solo l'inizio). The book is dedicated to Marco Masini, Beatrice Turini and Gregorio Pagliucoli, Valdarno, Italy, former classmates and friends of Sara's who passed away prematurely over the past few years. All proceeds reserved for the author will go to Adele Pagliucoli, Gregorio Pagliucoli's daughter who also starred
in the book trailer launching the book.
