Third edition of the series of free meetings titled "Health Saturdays," dedicated to the promotion of healthy lifestyles, wellness and prevention, which again this year is promoted by the Municipality of Figline and Incisa Valdarno in collaboration with the Arci Rinascita di Figline club and the Ausl Toscana Centro company and with the participation of Admo, Avis, Fratres, Nomos cooperative and the Valdarno Fiorentino members section of Unicoop Firenze.
Following the success of the first two editions, there are four events scheduled from Oct. 20 to Dec. 1 that will be hosted, as always, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Arci Rinascita club (Via Roma 17, Figline) and followed by an aperitif offered to all participants.
It starts on Oct. 20, when Stefano Castagnoli, a psychiatrist, will be in the room to speak on the well-being of the mind in our society, and continues on Nov. 10, when there will be two talks. The first is titled "Is the Mind Aging?" and will be curated by geriatrician Enrico Benvenuti, and it will be followed by the presentation of the Alzheimer's Café project of the Nomos cooperative, which will be curated by psychologist Elena Poli.
On Nov. 24, food quality and proper storage will be discussed instead, in the company of Dr. Rosella Rocchi (Unicoop Florence quality office manager) and nutritionist Barbara Niccoli.
The speeches will close on Dec. 1 when the culture of donation (of blood, organs and bone marrow) will be discussed with Dr. Beatrice Rigatti, a biologist from the ADMO association; Gino Calvani, president of the Figline Municipal Avis; Mauro Lombardi, president of the Figline Fratres group; and Dr. Paola Montaghi, head of the FacileFIV citizens' desk service.
In addition, to encourage parents' attendance, a free entertainment and animation service for children will be provided during the conferences by educators from Conkarma Association.
