For Saturday, Oct. 27, at 5 p.m., the Culture Group of the Il Giardino Social Center has organized an Art History lecture on Tintoretto by Daniela Matteini at its headquarters (Dalla Chiesa Gardens, Figline).
A way to rediscover his style and works on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of his birth and the two major exhibitions dedicated to him currently underway in Venice (at the Doge's Palace and the Gallerie dell'Accademia).
In detail, the meeting will focus on the visionary, daring and by no means conventional painting of the Venetian artist, who was able to challenge the tradition embodied by Titian, astounding and choosing to innovate both with bold technical and stylistic solutions and iconographic experimentation.
Admission is free.
