Double date this week with Valdarno Jazz which this year, for the first time, included some stages also in Figline on the occasion of its 20th anniversary.
Following the March 16 concert, the Garibaldi Redoubt is preparing to host two more events on Wednesday, March 28 and Thursday, March 29 at 9:30 pm.
As for Wednesday, March 28, the Garibaldi Redoubt will host Mirko Pedrotti's listening guide entitled "The vibraphone between written and improvised notes." It will consist of an analysis and a roundup of pieces signed by the instrument's masters, alternating with live practical demonstrations.
On Thursday, March 29, however, it will be the turn of the Mirko Pedrotti Quintet, a project created in 2013 by the Trentino vibraphonist of the same name, accompanied by Lorenzo Sighel (alto sax), Luca Olzer (fender rhodes and synthesizer), Michael Bazzanella (electric bass) and Matteo Giordani (drums). Many are the matrices and contaminations that influence the group's production: jazz music, minimal, rock, progressive, classical, elements that coexist together and create a contemporary and distinctive language. The catchy groove, polyrhythms, and the refinement of timbral mixtures are the main features of this lineup, which already in its early days gained important recognition.
