January 14 marks the restart of "Fly to the Library," the quarterly event series organized by the City Council , in collaboration with the ZimmerClub Association and the Figline BiblioCoop, to promote reading in the area among different age groups.
The appointment is set for 6 p.m., at the Ficino Library (Via Locchi, Figline), for the presentation of the series of unpublished short stories "Narrarae humanum est" ( Firenze Leonardo edizioni), signed by leading Florentine writers.
In particular, the series, conceived and directed by Marco Vichi and Sergio Risaliti, stems from the idea that everything can be "traversed" by fiction, including the historical places, urban spaces and monuments of Florence, which are at the
the center of each narrative.
Marco Vichi (author of "Fuga verso la notte," a story about Piazza della Signoria, included in the series), Leonardo Gori (author of "Farfalle di maggio," centered on Piazzale Michelangelo), Emiliano Gucci ("L'unico indizio," about Santa Croce), Lorenzo Chiodi (Prigioniero della bellezza," a story about the Uffizi) and Anna Maria Falchi ("La cripta svelata," about Santa Reparata) will be present.
Free admission.
