On the occasion of the traditional Easter concert, Ryan McAdams, a young American conductor who, 7 years ago, was invited by theFlorentine MusicalMaggio to perform for the first time in Europe, will also make his debut with the Orchestra della Toscana at Figline's Teatro Garibaldi. The date is set for Saturday, March 24, at 9 p.m., when the ORT will perform: the Aconcagua Bandoneon Concerto by Piazzolla; Händel's Concerto for Organ and Orchestra HWV 291; Stravinsky's Concerto for Chamber Orchestra Dumbarton Oaks; and Ginastera's Variations Concertanti for Chamber Orchestra op.23.
Performing as a soloist on the accordion, however, will not be Ksenija Sidorova, initially announced on the bill but forced to cancel her schedule due to health problems. In her place will be Ivano Battiston, a Florentine accordion teacher who has been active for 25 years at the "Cherubini" Conservatory in Florence and the author of about 100 compositions.
