Pianist Federico Colli and maestro Alejo Perez will be the protagonists of the next event of the Concert Season at Teatro Garibaldi (Piazza Serristori, Figline). On April 1, starting at 9 p.m., the two artists will join theOrchestra della Toscana, which will perform G. Ligeti's "Concert romanesc for orchestra" and two works by L. van Beethoven, namely "Piano Concerto in C minor No. 3 Op. 37" and "Symphony in E-flat Major No. 3 Op. 55, Eroica."
Returning to the evening's guests, however, Federico Colli (born 1988) is an internationally known young Italian pianist, winner of the 2011 Salzburg Mozart Competition (Austria) and the 2012 edition of the British competition Leeds International Piano, where he won first prize and the "Daw Aung Sun Suu Kyi" gold medal.
Argentine conductor Alejo Perez (born 1974), on the other hand, after early successes in his hometown of Buenos Aires, became music director of the Teatro Lirico de La Plata in 2009 and, in the 2011-12 season, became one of the guest conductors and music consultants at the Teatro Real in Madrid. Meanwhile, he also works abroad, especially in Europe, where his latest collaborations include those with the Ensemble Intercontemporain in Paris and the Klangforum in Vienna.
