The installations of defibrillators (for public use) on the municipal territory continue, an initiative born in the fall of 2015 as part of the "Progetto Vita" thanks to the periodical Il Valdarno, with the collaboration of Calcit Valdarno Fiorentino and the patronage of the Municipality of Figline and Incisa Valdarno: the goal is to ensure immediate intervention in case of cardiac arrest. Two defibrillators will be installed on Saturday, October 15, the first of which will be at 11 a.m. in Piazza Serristori in front of the Garibaldi Theater, where the president of the City Council, Cristina Simoni, will also be present. Within the same day, the one in Piazza del Municipio, home of the city hall, will also go into operation.
With the double donation on October 15, therefore, the number of defibrillators currently active in the territory of Figline and Incisa rises to 8. Specifically, to date, already cardioprotected are Piazza IV Novembre (installation in front of Figline City Hall), Figline Station (in front of Isis Vasari, in Piazza Caduti di Pian d'Albero), Villa Campori (Via Roma, Incisa), Piazza Don Minzoni-Matassino (in front of Matassino Pharmacy), the Shrine of Mary Theotokos (Loppiano, Incisa) and the Ponterosso area (Via del Ponterosso, Figline). In addition to these, the project includes four others, to be installed in Figline in Via Petrarca (in front of the "Leonardo da Vinci" secondary school), in Via Roma (Salesiani cinema area), in Via Piave (in front of the Carabinieri barracks) and in Via della Resistenza (in front of Asp Martelli).
